JAKARTA – Galeri Indonesia WOW boldly show its unique side at Indonesia Fashion Week (IFW) 2017. At IFW 2017, Galeri Indonesia WOW showcases the latest and best clothes, bags, shoes, and accessories collections by designers who are partners of Lembaga Layanan Pemasaran Koperasi dan UKM (LLP-KUKM).
These products fulfil the growing anxiety and need of Galeri Indonesia WOW’s target market—the youths, women, and netizens.
Through Galeri Indonesia WOW, located at SMESCO RumahKU Jakarta, LLP-KUKM encourages and supports Indonesian entrepreneurs to bring their best products to the global market.
At IFW 2017, on 4 February 2017 at Jakarta Convention Center, Galeri Indonesia WOW will present their best and competitive works, as selected by Galeri Indonesia WOW’s curator, Samuel Wattimena.
Products from Galeri Indonesia WOW have been selected to fit IFW 2017 theme, and are collected under the theme Ratimaya Cita Nusantara, or the Sense of Beauty in Indonesia’s Fabrics. Ratimaya is an Indonesian word derived from Sanskrit, meaning the sense/imagination of beauty. Its meaning can be found in Indonesia’s rich natural resources and creative products that embody true and eternal beauty.
In terms of clothing line, GIW presents 17 designers—6 Muslim-wear designers, 8 designers for women’s ready-to-wear, and 3 designers for men’s ready-to-wear. The six Muslim-wear designers are Oki Setiana Dewi, Tuty Adib, Nina Nugroho, Rumah Baju Ambu, Butik Lentera, and Kandi Batik. For women ready-to-wear, the designers are Tanda Mata, Lovely Zia, Batikoe, Rumah Sogan, Twin Stle, Rumah Ampiek, Erdan, and Handy Hartono. Meanwhile, men’s ready-to-wear designers are Ilham Bahari, Canting Hijau, and Taqqia MIB.
These outfits are complemented by shoes, bags and accessories designed and produced by some of the best entrepreneurs in Indonesia today. Accessories designers include:Istana Manik Kalimantan, Nahdi Jewellery, Fitri Designs, Almi Jewellery, Alex Papilaya Production, Poes Craft, and Semomondeezy.
Shoes are supplied by Bamboo studio by Parker, Delvino Shoes, Fargio Shoes, Melon Shoes, Pretty Calla Shoes, and Tegep Boots. While bags are from Erfa Handmade, Deluniq, Kleuren, Manggar Natural, Phi -tone, Sloopie Handmade, and Srengenge.
At IFW 2017 press conference, Ahmad Zabadi, President of LLP-KUKM of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs said that Galeri Indonesia WOW enables LLP-KUKM to encourage and support small enterprises to step into the international market. Pre-curated, the products at IFW 2017 is sure to have a high level of creativity and competitiveness.
